In a perfect world no guns would fire
We’d bury our bombs and miles of barbed wire
Wave our flags in peace
Abandon illusions of empire
In a perfect world no hungry ones
Crying out for food that never comes
Wouldn’t we have the willl
To feed everyone

Why is enough never enough
What are we willing to give up
Why do we hurt all that we touch
Got to undo damage done

In a perfect world we’d treat the Earth
Like a treasure to be preserved
Then we’d have no fear
Of the future
In a perfect world through open doors
You’d share mine, I’d share yours
I hope we’d reach out
And hold on to each other

Enough is enough
Can’t just sit back and give up
Why do we hurt all that we touch
Got to undo damage done

Strip away dividing lines
In the name of love
Desperate times fall behind
In the race for love
Anger evaporates
In a blaze of love
We’ve been waiting al our lives for love

Enough is enough
Can’t just sit back and give up
Why do we hurt all that we touch
Got to undo the damage done
